Color Match
More games to play
Color Match is a free browser puzzle game where you mix paint colors to recreate the exact shade of a 3D object. No timer, no lives: just you, a palette, and a percentage score that tells you how close you are. It runs entirely in your browser on desktop, phone, tablet, or Chromebook. Nothing to download or sign up for, so you can play unblocked at school or work.
What is Color Match?
Color Match is a relaxing color-logic puzzle. Each round gives you a 3D object (an avocado, a tomato, cherries, a watermelon, and others) along with a small set of available paint colors. Your job is to mix those colors together until your blend matches the object's shade as closely as possible. When you hit the target percentage, you apply the color to the object and see both versions side by side.
How to mix and apply colors
The controls are mouse-only on desktop. On mobile, everything is touch.
| Action | Desktop | Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Mix colors | Click and drag | Tap and drag |
| Apply color to object | Click the apply button | Tap the apply button |
| Compare result | Automatic side-by-side view | Automatic side-by-side view |
How the percentage scoring works
The match percentage is the core feedback loop. The game tells you exactly how close your blend is before you commit.
| Match percentage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Around 60% | Too far off, keep adjusting |
| Around 70% | Getting closer, but not a pass |
| 90% and above | Close enough to apply and move on |
Tips for getting a closer match
- Add colors in small amounts. Big additions push the blend past your target fast.
- If your mix is too dark, try adding a lighter color rather than starting over.
- The side-by-side comparison at the end shows exactly where the hue drifted. Use that to calibrate your next round.
- Objects repeat across levels in different shades, so learning the avocado green or tomato red early pays off later.
Is Color Match free and does it work on mobile?
Yes on both counts. The game is free with no purchase required. It also has official apps on Google Play and the App Store if you prefer playing off-browser. The browser version works on phones and tablets through touch controls, so you do not need the app to play on mobile.
